Registered Nurse / Practical Nurse

We are looking for a compassionate nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care. Your duties will be to provide nursing assessments, health education and support to our team members. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to keep detailed medical records and be highly organized. Being a Registered Nurse (RN) is all about being caring, compassionate and safety-oriented. The position also requires you to have good listening skills and be able to work well with other people. When our patients are sick or injured, the RN must administer treatments and medications in an appropriate manner that fits each patient’s specific needs. Responsibilities:

  • Observe patients, and evaluate and document their physical, emotional and mental states.
  • Prepare and administer medications and treatments ordered by physicians and other healthcare workers.
  • Provide support for, educate and motivate patients and family members during medical crises.
  • Prepare sterilized equipment and ensure the cleanliness of examination rooms and hospital environment (e.g. bed-making, disinfecting etc.).
  • Ensure that all instructions from doctors are followed in a timely manner (e.g. changing bandages, administering pills etc.).
  • Complete necessary forms for surgeries, tests and treatments., as well as for insurance/billing purposes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records., including medical histories, notes on examination findings and doctor orders.
  • Read medical reports to supervise or assist healthcare providers in their diagnosis.
  • Communicate with other healthcare workers to coordinate patient care (e.g. nurses, therapists etc.).
  • Perform other administrative tasks such as filing medical records., arranging prescriptions, answering phones etc.

Covid Tests (nasal), Blood Tests, IV treatment, and Health & Wellness products/tests will all be part of your responsibilities. This involves the collecting of sample swabs (nasal, throat, or blood).

Licence/Certification:

  • Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
  • Central Venous Access Device Certification (preferred)
  • First Aid/CPR-AED Level C Certification (required)
